Netflix ha diffuso le prime immagini di Jessica Barden (Alyssa), già protagonista della prima stagione della serie, e Naomi Ackie (Bonnie), che invece è un un nuovo personaggio. La seconda stagione sarà disponibile in tutti i Paesi in cui Netflix è attivo a partire dal prossimo novembre.

Il personaggio di Bonnie, che invece è interpretato dalla vincitrice del premio BIFA Naomi Ackie (Lady Macbeth, Star Wars: Episodio IX), sembra avere un ruolo portante in questa stagione. Viene descritta come una outsider con un passato complicato e un misterioso legame con Alyssa. Oltre a questi aspetti non sono stati ancora resi noti dettagli più approfonditi in relazione alla trama della seconda stagione, la cui sinossi verrà probabilmente rilasciata insieme al primo trailer.
