Una delle soddisfazioni più belle della vita è quando compri la vaschetta di gelato artigianale alla stracciatella e scavando in fondo trovi, come un tesoro nascosto, un pezzo di cioccolato grande quanto una casa

C: you are just too smart.

Ouro: and too idiotic.

C: Smart people aren't cut out for love.

Ouro: wow that sounds tragic.

C: Because there are million reasons not to love and smart people see them too clearly, there are a million ways a relationship wouldn't work, but only a few by which it would. The smart thing is not to love at all.

Ouro: wow.

C: But stupid people don't think that much and are subject to basic evolutionary leftover. Why would anyone in their right mind choose to love, really? It's all because we are evolutionary creatures, other than that love is meaningless

Ouro: do you think so? do you really think so?

C: Love is just a drug just like heroin, brain chemicals that evolution brings on us so that it provides an incentive for procreation.

C: Yes I think so, I really do.

Ouro: so if you think so, and you realise it and internalise it...why are you still looking for love?

C: Because it feels good, mind-numbingly good, Toe-curlingly good. This doesn't take away the fact that it's just an evolutionary trait to incentivise procreation. Knowing all this, I don't love any less.

Ouro: Cos you're a drug addict basically.

C: I am, and love is the most powerful drug in the world, but not romantically speaking, really on a scientific way. I can't control it.

Ouro: who is happiest then, the drug addict or the lonely smart one?

C: Drug addict. Smart people think too much, like you.
