I Golden Globe 2023 hanno annunciato le nomination per la loro prossima edizione, che si terrà il prossimo 10 gennaio dal Beverly Hilton Hotel di Los Angeles. I premi assegnati dalla Hollywood Foreign Press Association, da sempre considerati come un'importante anticamera per gli Oscar, hanno vissuto un paio di anni parecchio travagliati: nel 2020 sono scoppiati diversi scandali all'interno dell'associazione, accusata di favoritismi, razzismo e sessismo. L'anno scorso la cerimonia di assegnazione si è svolta regolarmente ma la rete americana Nbc, con cui l'Hfpa aveva un contratto tuttora in essere, si era rifiutata di trasmetterla in tv. Nel frattempo l'organizzazione ha avviato diverse riforme interne, tra cui un ripensamento più equo e inclusivo del sistema di votazione, e la nuova edizione dello show, presentata dal comico Jerrod Carmichael, andrà regolarmente in onda.
